At Dentistry on Unley we pride ourselves on providing our patients with the best treatment options for their individual, unique situation. It is our policy that our patients know the cost of the treatment the dentist has discussed during the initial consultation appointment and consent is given before any treatment is started.

We pledge to thoroughly explain all treatment options and fee estimates in the initial treatment planning phase before proceeding with that treatment.

Our goal at Dentistry on Unley is “Quality Care for every Individual”. By building a relationship with our patients, we can focus on ensuring your desires and dental health goals are accomplished and that you leave satisfied, relaxed and wearing the vibrant and healthy smile you deserve.

Treatment plan fees are valid for 3 months from the initial examination or consultation appointment.

Please contact one of our friendly Front Office Co-ordinators if you have any questions about your treatment plan.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule was introduced by the Australian Government to provide financial assistance to families and encourage children and teenagers to care for their oral health and to introduce them to preventive care solutions by having regular examinations and hygiene appointments.

The examination and hygiene appointments assist in reducing dental disease during a period of higher risk and promotes maintaining good oral health habits once they leave home and begin venturing out on their own.

The Child Dental Benefits Schedule provides dental benefits up to $1000 every two years per eligible child to help families with the cost of an oral examination, radiographs, preventive services and treatment. It is a means tested plan and eligible families will automatically receive a letter in the post, usually in mid-January.

Dentistry on Unley chooses to Bulk Bill for all services eligible under the CDBS, meaning there is no gap payment for most services including an examination, hygiene appointment, any necessary radiographs and restorations.

All patients using the Child Dental Benefits Schedule will be appointed with one of our Oral Health Therapists, specifically trained in treating this age group.

For more information on the CDBS, visit the Department of Human Services website.

Cancellation Policy

Dentistry on Unley is committed to providing exceptional care.

Unfortunately, when one patient cancels without giving enough notice, they prevent another from being seen.

This applies to all appointments made at Dentistry on Unley. In the case you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment, please call the practice and notify us as soon as possible.

If notice of less than twenty four (24) hours is given prior to the appointment, a cancellation fee of $100 will apply.
